sheet metal stamping parts

Stamping sheet metal parts are  exception to the rule, they  are delivered quickly and  with attention to quality. At GEN, we strive to make such parts with precision and care. These are the kinds of  parts that can  be spotted all over in  the world around us, from cars to machines to household objects. Making  them so  they were strong and accurate  wasn’t easy  because metal can get bent or broken if you don’t use  it right. We  employ tools and machines to stamp metal sheets into  the desired molds. It can take  many steps at times to find the ideal work in the process. You fold paper, but  you have to learn how  to do it well when it’s metal.  That’s  because GEN’s  experts can take those parts to the next  level,  ensuring that customers receive just what  they need for their products. For those needing specialized fabrication, our OEM Custom Small Stamped Processing Services Brass Aluminum Copper Stainless Steel Hardware Sheet Metal Bending Stamping Parts offer tailored solutions.

Common Issues and Solutions in Sheet Metal Stamping Parts Production

A lot of common problems occur in sheet metal stamping parts manufacturing process.  The most commonly occurring difficulty is that of the breakage or cracking of metal in stamping. The metal is either too thin or the pressure is too great.  At GEN, we very closely check the metal thickness before we even get started. If the metal is too thin for a particular shape, we recommend heavier sheets or to alter the design so as to prevent fissures. Another issue is the metal folding  the wrong way, effectively  destroying a part’s shape. This occurs when the press machine is not prepared correctly or the metal doesn’t seat right.  Our  staff always re-checks the machine settings and adjusts the metal’s position so that it fits excellently. Occasionally the edges of parts don’t come out smooth, a potential safety issue or tertiary project incompatibility problem. Gen uses special tools to  rectify this that smooth the edges following stamping. Plus the metal can  get  dinged or  scratched if treated  roughly. We teach our workers to handle  the parts  courteously, using  protective coatings as necessary. Worn or Broken Dies Sometimes  the tool (called a stamping die) that presses  the metal wears out, or breaks. We are good at taking care of dies and replace them before they begin to produce bad quality. When an issue arises, GEN’s team has  conversations  with clients to resolve them as quickly as possible. This could be changing  the metal, tweaking the machine or refining the part a little. By tackling  these problems quick and wise, we are able to  keep the production humming along smoothly and ensure parts that fit and  work correctly every time. For enhanced assembly, we also supply 15-45A Receptacle Locked Fixing Base Connector which integrate seamlessly with stamped parts.
